 Definition-

 1- "the branch of chemistry which deals with the study of chemical reaction by applying  electrical energy and chemical reaction gives rise to electrical energy is known as electrochemistry".

2- " electrochemistry deals with the study of of Electrochemical processes and their application which involves the conversion of chemical energy into to electrical energy and electrical energy into chemical energy ".

It depends on movement of elctron.

* Important terminology use in electrochemistry-

1-Electricity-  electricity is a form of energy resulting due to flow of charged particle(cation and anion ) and movement  of electron.

2-Current - "Current is the the flow of charged particle (proton, electron, cation, anion)."The ratio of charge to time is known as current ."

                        Current (C)=Charge/Time

                       1Ampere=1coulomb/1second

3-Strength of Current - " The strength of current is transfer of charge in unit time."

4-The unit of charge- Coulomb (C)

5-Unit of time - second 

6-Unit of current -Ampere
